1 stage: DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

Services stage 1

Do you have a concept for your future clothing line or a specific garment? Unsure of your next steps? If you’re struggling with this, we’re here to help guide you through the process.

Below, you can learn why this stage is crucial and why meticulous attention is essential.

You should have a solid concept for your garment or clothing line and clearly define your specific requirements. This is critical at this stage, as it lays the foundation for all subsequent steps in the production process.

When you have detailed design concept it helps you prevent costly modifications later in the production process. Changes to fabrics, trims, or patterns at a later stage can significantly increase production costs.

The earlier you finalize the materials, colors, and trims for your clothing line or garment, the more efficiently you can manage the sourcing and delivery of all materials. This step often takes one to two months or more, depending on whether the manufacturer has your chosen fabrics and trims in stock or needs to produce them. It is also advisable to order some sample materials for creating clothing prototypes before placing bulk orders. Since all changes require time and incur costs, it is highly recommended to complete these preparations as soon as possible.

A strong design concept speeds up all stages of production by providing clear instructions and specifications.

At this stage, you should ensure that your new design aligns with your brand’s DNA, aesthetics, and quality standards.

FAQs

Our Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) varies depending on the specific product and customization options you choose. While we are capable of accommodating small batch production, it’s important to note that smaller orders may incur higher per-unit costs compared to larger batches. This is due to the economies of scale, where ordering in bulk typically reduces the overall production cost. We recommend discussing your project with us directly so we can provide a tailored solution that balances your needs with cost efficiency.

We certainly do provide product quotes! To get started, all we need is a detailed tech pack from you. Alternatively, you can fill out our questionnaire, which will give us all the necessary information to accurately assess your project and provide a comprehensive quote. This process ensures we understand your requirements fully, allowing us to offer a tailored solution that meets your specific needs.

A tech pack is an essential document in the fashion industry, acting as a blueprint for your design. It contains all the detailed information needed to turn your concept into a physical garment, including measurements, materials, colors, construction details, and any special instructions. Having a tech pack ensures that manufacturers understand your design exactly as you envision it, minimizing errors and miscommunication. It also helps streamline the production process, making it more efficient and cost-effective. Essentially, a tech pack is your communication tool that bridges the gap between your creative vision and the final product, ensuring accuracy and consistency in production.

Lead times can vary based on the complexity of the design, the specific materials required, and the current production schedule. Generally, sample production may take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks. For bulk production, the lead time typically ranges from 4 to 12 weeks after sample approval. It’s important to note that these are estimated timelines and can be influenced by various factors, including the quantity of the order, customization details, and material availability. We always strive to meet your deadlines and will work with you to establish a production schedule that aligns with your brand’s timeline.

The cost of a sample varies depending on the complexity of the design, the materials used, and the level of customization required. Typically, sample costs are calculated based on the production expenses of creating a single item, which can include material sourcing, labor, and any specific processing or finishing needed. We aim to provide a fair and transparent quote for samples once we have all the necessary details about your project. It’s also worth noting that in some cases, the cost of the sample may be credited towards your bulk order, subject to our terms and conditions. We recommend discussing your specific needs with us directly to get an accurate estimate for your sample production.
