PATTERN CREATION

Our skilled pattern makers develop precise patterns that serve as the blueprint for your garment.

PATTERN DIGITIZING

Converting a physical pattern into a digital format for easier storage, modification, and sharing.

GRADED SIZE CHART

This is a chart that lists measurements for each size variation of the garment (e.g., XS, S, M, L, XL). (* It’s essential to note that our measurements align with the pattern specifications. The dimensions of the finished garment can vary due to seam allowance, fabric characteristics, and established tolerances.)

PATTERN NESTING

Pattern Nesting is the process of arranging all the pattern pieces for each size and each style of a garment onto a large sheet, known as a marker. The marker is usually the same width as the fabric and as long as needed to fit all the pattern pieces. The goal is to arrange the pieces in such a way as to maximize fabric utilization and minimize waste. Once the marker is made, it is laid on top of multiple layers of fabric, and the fabric is cut following the marker guidelines.

PATTERN GRADING

Pattern grading is essential for adapting a prototype’s pattern into different sizes while maintaining shape, fit, balance, and scale of style details. This ensures that a garment looks and fits proportionally across all sizes, from small to large.

PATTERN EDITS/ CHANGES

Pattern Changes service offers comprehensive modifications to your existing garment patterns from significant design alterations to fit improvements.

3D PATTERN SIMULATION

Using software to simulate how a pattern will look and behave when made up in fabric, often used for fit and design assessment before physical sampling.

Understanding Garment Sampling: A Key Step in Fashion Design and Production

Where your fashion concepts take their first steps toward becoming tangible products. We specialize in turning your designs into detailed patterns and high-quality samples, setting the stage for successful mass production.

FIT SAMPLE

**Required
This sample is constructed using the initial pattern and is intended to evaluate and test the fit of the garment on a fit model or mannequin. The primary focus is on the garment’s dimensions, ease, and overall fit rather than the fabric type, color, or other aesthetic elements.

FIT TESTING

During fit testing, various aspects such as ease of movement, drape, and alignment of seams and features are assessed. Adjustments might be made to the pattern based on this feedback, and another sample may be produced for further testing. This iterative process continues until the team is satisfied that the garment meets all fit and design specifications.

MATERIAL TESTING

Material Testing service provides a comprehensive evaluation of fabrics and other materials used in garment production. This service is crucial for making informed decisions about material selection, reducing production risks, and ensuring the longevity and quality of the final product.

GOLD-SEAL SAMPLE

**Required A “Gold-Seal Sample” is the final, approved sample that serves as the ultimate reference for mass production and is often considered the ‘gold standard’ against which all produced units are compared for quality assurance. The Gold-Seal Sample is usually created after the pre-production sample has been approved but before bulk production begins. This sample is often tagged and sealed to prevent any alterations, hence the term “Gold-Seal.”

PHOTO SAMPLE

A Photo Sample – is a finished version of a garment specifically created for promotional purposes, such as for use in catalogues, online stores, marketing materials, and social media campaigns. This sample is made to look exactly like the final product in terms of design, fit, and finish.

SALESMAN SAMPLE

A Salesman Sample – is a prototype of the final product that is used for marketing and sales purposes. These samples are often produced in limited quantities and are sent to retailers, trade shows, or potential clients to showcase the design, fit, and quality of a garment.

SIZE SET SAMPLE

A “Size Set Sample” is a complete set of prototype garments made in all the different sizes that the final product will be offered in. This is a crucial step in the apparel manufacturing process, typically following the approval of the fit sample. The size set sample allows manufacturers and designers to verify that the grading rules applied to scale the pattern into different sizes are accurate and that the garment maintains its fit, look, and proportions across all sizes.

PRE-PRODUCTION SAMPLE

**Required
A Pre-Production Sample (PPS) – is a finalized version of the garment that is made using the actual fabric, trims, and construction techniques that will be used in mass production. This sample is essentially a blueprint for the manufacturing team, serving as the standard for quality, fit, and appearance.
